CM launched the mobile app for Indiramma Housing
Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched 'Indiramma houses Mobile App' for the selection of beneficiaries at the Secretariat here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the State government has adopted new technologies to ensure no errors in the implementation of the ambitious housing scheme with a big goal.
"We are launching this app with a great intention of providing Indiramma houses to the deserving. As part of the endeavour, we have simplified the procedures and provided convenience to beneficiaries," he said.
Stating that the beneficiaries are provided an opportunity to build a house according to their affordability, Revanth Reddy informed that the government took this decision to ensure justice for the poor.
"The first priority will be given to the poorest of the poor in the beneficiaries list. Later, priority will be given to Dalits, Tribals, agricultural laborers, sanitation workers, disabled people and transgenders. Moreover, the government will consider ITDA areas as special and release special funds for them," he disclosed.
The Chief Minister said the government accorded administrative sanction to 4.50 lakh houses in the first year and 3,500 houses have been alloted to each Assembly constituency.
"The Indiramma housing scheme was launched at the cost of Rs 4,000 per house and it reached Rs 1.21 lakh during YSR rule. Now, the People's government has increased the cost of the house construction to Rs 5 lakhs," he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao and Ponnam Prabhakar, TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Government Advisors K. Kesava Rao, Shabbir Ali, Vem Narender Reddy, Srinivasa Raju, Chinna Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, Hyderabad Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Government Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other officials were present.
